Clients and work performed as a presenter and stage host

Nintendo UK

Nintendo  UK has been a consistent client of mine since 2013. I have hosted their stage at numerous conventions and events like Eurogamer Expo, MCM ComicCon and more every year until 2019. I have also hosted from their stream at events and from home since 2018. Presenting fun, engaging showcases, hyping up the latest releases, conducting interviews whilst also hosting and commentating tournaments for games like Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon.

I also helped create a preview video series with the in-house UK team for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

I appeared on the front of the Nintendo Switch console's news page after recording a tutorial series of videos for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, aimed at new players to the game.

Nintendo of Europe

Much like the UK branch of Nintendo, I have spent time since 2015 in and around Europe presenting shows, hosting stages and commentating tournaments, only on a European scale, attending events like GamesCom on multiple occasions, and commentating the European Finals for Splatoon, as well as many of the regional qualfying finals in the Nordic region.

I was the consistent face and voice for the 2019-2020 Official European Circuit of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, that was sadly cut short due to COVID. I commentated the tournaments and also acted as the Master of Ceremonies for some of the Top 8 finals. This program was in direct collaboration with the community competitive scene.

European Speedrunners Assembly

I have worked with ESA since 2020 as the main host and commentator of the speedrunning competition 'Break the Record: LIVE' - A three day time trial competition series seeing 7 invited speedrunners push to break the world record in a chosen game and category. This ran for a few years online after the inital live event, and returned to the live stage at Twtich Con in Amsterdam, 2022. A vareity of games have been covered from Mario 64 to Doom Eternal and Dark Souls.

My roles outside of production days included organising scheduling for my co-hosts and any guest commentators taking part from a game's community

Digital Schoolhouse, UKIE

I first worked with Digital Schoolhouse in 2019 on a couple of projects. Firstly, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Team Cup tournaments. An event that sees students in secondary school gain experience of the workings of the esports industry by creating teams, branding, and running an esports team. Producing journalistic pieces on the event and even getting commentary experience. I acted as a professional voice to work alongside the students to teach them commentary skills and provided careers talks for getting into the industry.

I also work with DSH on the 'Festival of Play' a student-focused event filled with learning opportunites. Here I produce and deliver an interactive  workshop on the basics and importance of commentary in the esports space and the use of voice for the purposes of self expression. These workshops are aimed at getting kids to understand and recognise the different styles of commentary, and try it out for themselves alongside friends, in a safe environment.

ESL

I have worked with ESL a handful of times as a commentator for Nintendo events as well as some newer esports ventures, namely mobile PvP title 'Summoner's War' and a finals for the VR League, with the VR Military Simulator 'Onward.'

This was great hands on experience with a more specific televisual style of esports event production.
